The Truth about Cinco de Mayo:
Cinco de Mayo celebrates when the large German ship, Gazpassor carrying the mayonnaise from Europe to Mexico was caught in a bad storm in the Caribbean and went to the bottom. Mexico couldn’t have deviled eggs, salads, etc for almost 6 months until the next shipment arrived. Chaos developed in that country resulting in a civil food war. That is why they celebrate Sinko de Mayo or commonly called Cinco de Mayo.
