ADVANCED ADVENTURE DIVER $295

The purpose of this course is to give the diver an overview of 5 different specialties, 2 core, and 3 additional SDI Specialties. The two core specialties are, SDI Deep and Navigation. One dive, from each of the specialties, may apply toward a complete specialty certification

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual,
    and any other equipment that may apply to the chosen specialties. Available for rent.

ADVANCED BUOYANCY CONTROL $195

Introducing a diver to the benefits of controlling his buoyancy usually has a great positive effect, an effect that will enhance the diver’s sense of enjoyment, and feeling of accomplishment. This specialty is designed to increase the open water diver’s understanding of the factors that influence his buoyancy, and to train the diver in using those means available to him as methods for controlling his buoyancy

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.

BOAT DIVER $195

Whether on a private vessel or one of the many charter dive boats available worldwide, divers are frequently not aware of the special procedures and etiquette used when boat diving. This course is designed to introduce divers to different types of boat diving and the skills needed to plan and conduct a boat dive with maximum safety.

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB)
  • Spool to deploy DSMB
 

COMPUTER NITROX DIVER $145

The SDI Computer Nitrox course is designed to teach open water divers how to use nitrox mixtures up to 40 percent with the aid of a nitrox programmable dive computer

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Oxygen Analyzer is suggested for anyone traveling, but not required. 
  • Nitrox capable dive computer

DEEP DIVER $195

The purpose of this course is to provide the necessary training to plan and execute dives that are outside the range of depths that are experienced during an OWSD course, specifically beyond 60 feet and to a maximum depth of not greater than / 130 feet.

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB)
  • Spool to deploy DSMB
  • 1 primary light, 1 backup light
  • Thermal protection beyond basic wetsuit

DRIFT DIVER $195

This course is designed to teach divers the skills, knowledge, and necessary techniques to properly conduct drift dives. Drift dives are very common in our tropical destinations and can be extremely dangerous. We are here to teach you safe practices in current. 

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB)
  • Spool to deploy DSMB
  • 1 primary light (surface signal device)
  • 1 surface audible device
 
 
SCUBA equipment and service

dry suit DIVER $195

This course allows the student to develop knowledge and skills to properly use a dry suit. It will discuss the types of dry suits, accessories, maintenance and how to make basic repairs.

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Personalized dry suit (sold in store, not available for rent).
  • Extra thermal protection (hoods & gloves). 
  • Dry suit air source connection(s)

The purpose of this course is to train divers with the necessary procedures,

night / limited vis. DIVER $195

The purpose of this course is to acquaint the open water diver with the procedures, techniques, and potential hazards associated with diving at night, or in limited visibility. By becoming familiar with the use of dive lights, and night diving techniques such as navigation, buddy system procedures, communications, buoyancy control, and interacting with nocturnal aquatic life, the diver will be able to enjoy night diving with maximum safety

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.

search and recovery diver $195

This specialty is designed to acquaint the diver with the special skills and techniques necessary to successfully plan, execute and evaluate a search and recovery dive

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Lines, lift bags, and reels are provided by the instructor for safety. However, recommend purchasing your own after the course. (Not available for rent).

sidemount diver $245

This course is designed to teach certified divers how to safely utilize sidemounted primary cylinders as an alternative to the traditional back-mounted configuration. The course is strictly non-decompression with a maximum depth limit of 40m/130ft, or within the limit of the student’s current certification, whichever is shallower. 

Required equipment:

  • Sidemount harness system and wing
  • 2 Cylinders (40, 63, or 80s) (alu or stel)
  • 2 Regulators with appropriate number of ports w/ spg’s. Ask for assistance.
  • Basic SCUBA gear; mask, fins, boots, and thermal protection.
  • 2 Cylinder Sidemount rigging kits
  • Assortment of bolt snaps, cave line, etc.
  • No sidemount gear is available for rental at this time.

u/w navigation course $195

This course is designed to give students a greater understanding and experience on how to properly navigate underwater using both natural and compass navigation.

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.

  • Compass system (slate, wrist, or console mounted compass) (if using digital, a mechanical should be purchased for backup).

Wreck diving can be one of the most exciting aspects of sport diving, however every effort must be made to maximize safe diving techniques. This course will discuss the equipment and techniques commonly employed while wreck diving. This course may be taught as a non-penetration, 2 dives required, or as a limited-penetration course, requiring 3 dives. Limited penetration is defined as a swim through or within the ambient light of entry point.

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB)
  • Spool to deploy DSMB.

solo diver $195

The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards, and proper procedures for diving solo. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates may engage in solo diving activities. 100 logged dives required, minimum age 21.

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Redundant air source with redundant 1st stage, 2nd stage, and gauge.
  • Pony bracket system or sling.

DPV DIVER $195

The SDI Diver Propulsion Vehicle Diver Course is designed to train divers in the use of a Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) and familiarize them with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards of using a DPV in a non-overhead environment.

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Diver Propulsion Vehicle (available for rent)
  • DPV can be hand held, or it must have a leg strap

advanced, rescue, and master courses

sdi advanced diver $50 + 4 specialties

To become an Advanced Diver, a diver must complete four SDI Specialty Courses (only one non-diving course; such as nitrox), and proof of 25 logged dives. This is an achievement a diver is able to complete. This is not a course, but a certification. This certification does not include the four specialties.

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB)
  • Spool to deploy DSMB.
  • Extra gear might be required based on the 4 specialty choices.
 Minimum requirements:
 Completion of 4 SDI, TDI, or ERDI Specialty Courses or equivalent.

sdi rescue diver $245 + CPR, FIRST AID & O2 PROVIDER

This course is designed to develop the knowledge and necessary skills to effectively perform diver rescues, assist, and administer the necessary first aid in the event of an emergency. You will learn skills such as how to perform self rescues, buddy rescues, recognize and calm potential panic divers, administer proper first aid to divers that have experienced dive related injuries, conduct effective searching and manage accident scenes. This is the perfect class for someone wanting to expand their knowledge of dive related injuries.

Required equipment:

  • Basic open water scuba equipment as described in section three of this manual. Available for rent.
  • A cutting device.
 Minimum requirements:
– Minimum age 18, 10 with parental consent
– Provide proof of current CPR, first aid and oxygen provider (we offer training)
– Provide proof of Open water and 40 logged dives OR advanced diver
– Divers under the age of 15 may earn the Jr Rescue Diver certification
 
 
 

sdi master DIVER = $75 + 4 SPECIALTIES + RESCUE + CPR, FIRST AID, AND O2 PROVIDER

To become a Master Diver, a diver must complete four Specialty Courses (only one non-diving course; such as nitrox), the SDI Rescue Diver course, and proof of 50 logged dives. This is an achievement a diver is able to complete. This is not a course, but a certification. This certification does not include the four specialties, the rescue class, and the CPR, first aid, and Oxygen Provider class. (To receive your Advanced certification card, Extreme Sports charges an extra $50 for the advanced cert card).

ADULT, CHILD & INFANT EMERGENCY CARE COURSE

This course is cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) use combined into one program.  It is designed to teach the techniques to administer CPR, first aid, and utilize an AED in emergency situations involving infants, children, and adults. It meets all international standards, is OSHA* and ILCOR compliant, and has been accepted by the United States Coast Guard (USCG).

What you can expect to learn:

The Adult, Child, & Infant Emergency Care program is designed to train layperson rescuers for

  • CPR administration for children, infants, and adults
  • AED use for children and adults.
  • First aid for possible workplace incidents.
  • First aid for common injuries.

OXYGEN (O2) ADMINISTRATION COURSE

This course is intended to teach emergency oxygen (O2) administration. This program covers equipment and procedures for administrating oxygen as an emergency procedure. Equipment selection and use for decompression illness emergencies are detailed with practical components to train a well rounded rescuer.

What you can expect to learn:

The Oxygen Administration program is designed to train layperson rescuers for:

  • Identification of DCI
  • administration of emergency oxygen

Upon successful completion of the course, graduates may:

  • Recognize and evaluate an emergency and a victim
  • Know how to activate or alert the emergency medical services (EMS)
  • Be able to administer O2 to a breathing or non-breathing person
