mASTER SCUBA DIVER

The SDI Master SCUBA Diver Development Program was designed to make a pinnacle of non-leadership divers. This program is your pathway to becoming a true master of SCUBA Diving. You’ll explore four specialized diving areas of your choice, plus becoming a certified SDI Rescue Diver.

To complete the SDI Master SCUBA Diver program, divers must complete 4 specialty courses of their choice, the SDI Rescue Diver course, and provide proof of current CPR and O2 provider.

3 out of the 4 specialties must be diving courses. 

1 of the 4 specialties can be a non-diving course.

for example: completing nitrox, deep, wreck, and navigation would be applicable, as nitrox is a non-diving course. 

Non-diving courses are as followed: SDI Nitrox or SDI Equipment Specialist. 

what will you learn:

Achieving the SDI Master SCUBA Diver certification signifies a peak milestone in your diving journey, showcasing your diving ability to handle advanced dive scenarios with confidence and skill and being that perfect dive buddy that has skills from the Rescue Diver course.

Course prerequisites:

  • SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent 
  • 50 Logged Dives
  • Completed or signed up for the Advanced Diver Program
  • Completed or signed up for 4 specialties
  • Completed or signed up for the Rescue Diver Course

required equipment:

  • Standard SCUBA unit – available for rent
  • Cutting device
  • Review the specific SDI Specialties for any extra equipment needed

what does it cost:

  • $75 + the cost of the 4 SDI specialty courses, Advanced Diver Fee, SDI Rescue Diver Course, CPR course, and O2 Course
  • If you’ve already completed all of those, its just the $75 registration fee
