If you’re on the fence about going to Cozumel, don’t be. Why? So glad you asked!
10 Reasons to Visit Cozumel
1. SCUBA Diving –
You’re certified, where is your first destination? My recommendation, Cozumel! Hands down! The visibility is magnificent. The sea life is abundant. And… you can say you swam with the fishes/sharks. There’s great 80’+ dives as well as shallow dives. And did I mention the visibility? Or… the water temp. Especially in February when it’s snowing in the great state of Missouri.
2. Beautiful Sunsets –
We stay on the West side of the island so that means GORGEOUS Sunsets. If you’re a Sunrise person, rent a car and drive to the other side of the island, but be sure you know where you are parking. Refer to number 5.
3. Food –
Guys, we just wrote a book entitled, “If There’s Food, They Will Come.” If that doesn’t tell you something, I don’t know what will.
4. Vitamin D + Vitamin Sea –
I believe this is totally for Glenn Crosswhite. haha. No, but seriously, they always say you need Vitamin D and Vitamin C… Well, the winter time, they say people lack in Vitamin D. Enter Cozumel. And then the Vitamin C or the Vitamin Sea. You’re choice!
5. The Memories & Stories –
Um… Maybe I should leave those to word of mouth and the imagination… Just saying…
6. Stamp on your Passport –
You know, there have been rumors that a Missouri License won’t be used to get you on an airplane and you’ll need a Passport. Heck, if you already have your passport, you might as well use it as it was intended to be used!
7. Real Coca-Cola –
No artificial sweetener there.
8. Punta Sur/Mayan Ruins –
The Lighthouse is amazing. Your views are out of this world. The history is even better. I would say if you aren’t a history buff you’ll still get a lot out of the history that surrounds Cozumel.
9. Shopping/Negotiating –
If you want to barter, they’ll play your game. But bring your A-game!
