First Response Training International is a world class organization providing training for layperson rescuers in schools, businesses, and public areas. FRTI offers cutting edge curriculums designed to prepare individuals to handle emergency situations and save lives.
As of today, Extreme Sports is now offering training through FRTI. We have four new FRTI instructors qualified to teach, evaluate, and progress our future students. The courses we are offering are shown below with a detailed description of each program.
Quality Instruction
So why FRTI and Extreme Sports Inc? Well, experienced learners know that the quality of their instructor makes a real difference to the quality of their training. First Response Training International’s instructors are among the leaders in the layperson rescuer training. Whether your instructor is a medical professional teaching on the side or a workplace CPR educator, your First Response Training International instructor is not only certified but qualified.
Extreme Sports has all the materials and equipment to prepare students for the future. Our in-class academic sessions for FRTI training contains hands-on interactions with CPR trainers, AED trainers, emergency Oxygen systems, and much more. Having these is important for proper training so individuals will be familiar with what they could possibly encounter in the future.
For our divers, FRTI is owned by International Training, the same training agency that works with SDI, TDI, and ERDI.
E-friendly Organization
First Response Training International is an E-friendly organization with an ever-growing member’s area. This means that students are able to complete their reading and assessments at their own pace on their own time. Online learning has taken over in the last 10 years in the diving world, and it is no different for CPR, first aid, and Oxygen provider educational classes.
At the end of each course, students will also have a login to firstresponse-ed.com and be able to access all of their certifications on the fly.
Adult, Child, and Infant Emergency Care Course
This course is cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) use combined into one program. It is designed to teach the techniques to administer CPR, first aid, and utilize an AED in emergency situations involving infants, children, and adults.
This comprehensive program is appropriate for workplace training or general knowledge to be better prepared day to day. It meets all international standards, is OSHA* and ILCOR compliant, and has been accepted by the United States Coast Guard (USCG).
The CPR and AED components cover the knowledge needed to address one of the largest causes of death in the world – cardiac arrest. Intervening with this knowledge can possibly save a life. The first aid program reviews common techniques to treat serious emergencies, as well as less serious, more common issues.
Oxygen Administration
This course is intended to teach emergency oxygen (O2) administration. This program covers equipment and procedures for administrating oxygen as an emergency procedure. Equipment selection and use for decompression illness emergencies are detailed with practical components to train a well rounded rescuer.
Bloodborne Pathogens
This OSHA* and ILCOR compliant course is intended to teach users about pathogens that can be encountered through bodily fluids. Designed for workplace use it teaches participants about the hazards, prevention, and solutions for fluid events. This course meets workplace requirements for individuals with a reasonable risk of encountering fluid interactions.
The Importance of Layperson Training
In one year, around 475k Americans die from a cardiac arrest and with that, more than 350k of those occur outside of the hospital each year. It’s also been proven that bystander CPR improves survival rates. Rather if you are an employee needing training, a SCUBA diver, or even a parent, these courses will prepare you for events like those stated.
We live in a dangerous world and sometimes people get hurt. First Response Training International’s First Aid Training will prepare you to render the appropriate assistance someone needs after an accident or injury until emergency personnel arrive. Providing First Aid makes the victim feel better and can help them achieve better health outcomes. In serious situations, First Aid can mean the difference between life and death.
Accidents and injuries can happen anywhere. Anyone can be hurt, from the smallest child to senior citizens. Being prepared with First Aid knowledge and skills means you’re always ready to help people in need and make a real positive difference in a bad situation. These courses are OSHA* & ILCOR compliant.
